German Master – Android App
Last updated: April 27, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how German Master ("the App"), developed by Qortx AI, handles data.
1. Overview
German Master is an offline-first German language learning app. You can use the App without signing in. If you choose to sign in with Google, the App can sync your practice progress across devices through our Supabase backend.
2. Information We Process
- Local data only: quiz scores, practice history, and settings are stored on your device in app-private storage.
- Optional account data: if you sign in with Google, we process your Google sign-in token through Supabase Auth and use your authenticated account identifier for sync. Your email address may be provided by Google/Supabase Auth and shown in the App's Account screen, but it is not stored in the App's practice-history records.
- Synced practice data: if signed in, practice history such as task identifiers, answers/results, timestamps, and related progress metadata may be synced to our Supabase backend so your progress can be available across devices.
- No tracking: we do not collect location, advertising ID, contacts, or usage analytics for tracking purposes.
3. Data Sharing and Third Parties
We do not sell or rent your personal data. The App uses Google Sign-In for optional authentication and Supabase for authentication, content delivery, and optional progress sync. The App does not include third-party advertising or analytics SDKs.
4. Internet Access
The App uses internet access to load or update German learning content, authenticate signed-in users, and sync practice history when you are signed in. If you do not sign in, your practice history remains local to your device.
5. Data Retention and Deletion
Local data is retained on your device until you delete it. You can remove local data at any time by clearing app storage in your Android device settings or by uninstalling the App. If you signed in and want synced account or practice data deleted from our backend, use the account deletion request page.
6. Security
Local app data is stored in Android app-private storage and protected by Android's application sandbox. Synced data is transmitted to Supabase over encrypted network connections and associated with your authenticated account.
7. Children's Privacy
The App is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
8. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updates will be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date.
